AAP3000   Dissertation in Archaeology   (40 credits)

Year Running: 2019/2020
Credit level: F6

Description

In this module you will undertake an individual piece of research on a topic of your choice. For single honours students, your choice of topic and supervisor to guide you through the process will be confirmed at the end of level 2; dual honours students choose their topics at the start of Level 3. For all students, Level 3 is where you will undertake your research and analysis before you then write it up, with the support of your supervisor and the module coordinator. While you have done this in short essays before, a large piece of work like this will take you longer and hopefully allow you to immerse yourself in a topic of your choice that really interests you. The module, therefore, runs across the academic year and is double weighted. That means that it is worth 2 standard modules (40 credits). For this reason we will have a series of assessment points where you will receive formative and formal feedback from your supervisor and another member of staff.
